Unusual Science & Tech: Can You Taste with Your Feet?
Science has spoken—and it's weird. Technically... maybe, yes?
It turns out taste receptors aren’t just in your mouth. They’ve been found in all sorts of places: your lungs, your intestines, and yep—even your feet (well, kind of). While you’re not about to lick ice cream with your toes, researchers have found taste receptors in skin cells—especially those involved in wound healing and sweat gland regulation.
So if your feet “taste” anything, it’s probably bacteria, not pizza. Sorry.
🧪 Weird science sidebar: Flies do taste with their feet. Next time one lands on your sandwich, just know—it’s sampling before stealing.
👣 Moral of the story? Your body is secretly doing more than you know. And also... maybe keep those feet out of the guacamole.

Timur wasn’t exactly the warm-and-fuzzy type. Known for building pyramids... out of skulls (yes, real human skulls), he swept across Central Asia in the 14th century like a one-man demolition crew. Cities trembled, empires crumbled, and if you so much as blinked at him wrong—well, let’s just say your head might end up as interior decor.
Fun (?) Fact: Timur once reportedly left 70,000 heads stacked neatly outside Delhi as a “message.” Subtle, no?
